Anyone Visit Cabo in December?

My family is planning some big group vacation and my father-in-law suggested we all go to Cabo San Lucas between X-mas and New Years. I checked the weather and it ranges from 65-80 degrees in December, but that just seems too cold to me! I’ve never been there before, but I hear even in the summer the ocean is way too cold to get in. Wouldn’t it be miserable in winter? Has anyone been in December? What was your experience? Thanks!
