Have You Ever Been to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico?
My mom booked a trip at a 5 star resort in Cabo. We leave tomorrow morning. Well! I’ve heard mixed reviews. I heard that it’s VERY dangerous and it’s freaking me out. I can’t die on my vacation because I have tickets to the Britney Spears concert this Friday! Lol…no but seriously…any info would be appreciated.

It is not very dangerous. The towns on the border like Tijuana an Ciudad Juarez are dangerous–tourist zones are not. Thousands of spring breakers have already been down there this year and they’ve all gone home safely.
Read the link below.
I’m mexican and I’ve also been to Cabo San Lucas.
Cabo San Lucas is NOT that dangerous, you should be perfectly safe walking the town (small town), and there’s practically no risk on your hotel and the beach; your biggest concern should be people trying to sell you stuff really expensive ’cause you’re american haha
All tourist zones are generally safe places and if you’re worried about organized crime on Cabo, don’t be… even thou organized crime is a country wide problem, this particular state had 0 killings in 2008 related to organized crime and has only had 1 so far on this year (official data).
P.S. Just as a side note… many americans are under the impression that Mexico is like a war zone and this is false (even thou we do have our big problems)… yes you should take precautions but almost as if you were travelling to any other place you don’t know…
I hope this helped, enjoy your vacation!
OMG Loved Cabo!!!!!
You have nothing to worry about! Its gorgeous there!!! Enjoy yourself.. I LOVED “Lovers Beach” its so cool… Waves are dangerous but Wow! What a view!!
Have a great one!!!!!!
Hola. I live here in Cabo and it is very safe. Please don’t worry. You won’t run into any trouble. Come and enjoy your visit.
yes, and this is a warning to all tourists going to Cabo San Lucas: the baby tigers, lions and jaguars at the marina are being abused. The sign on the booth states that money paid for pictures taken with the animals goes towards a wild cat sanctuary in Mexico City. They claim that the infants cats are returned to their mothers and live out their lives in a sanctuary. This is NOT TRUE. They are being abused and it’s nothing but animal cruelty. Please do not endorse or support these people with your dollars. They take the infants away from their mothers after a few weeks and have them sitting in the heat and sun to pose with tourists for profit. Who knows what happens to them once they are to big to handle. Please do not support this.
I’m Canadian, I have been to Mexico many times and love it
I am actually staying in P.V. for a bit.
I think its normal to be paranoid about a foreign country, I was a lil freaked out coming to Puerto Vallarta when I heard all this stuff about the drug Cartels and so on…There is nothing to be worried about though.
As long as you are’nt buying drugs or on the beach late at night you will have a blast!
Dont pet the stray dogs in Cabo lol
and Make sure you check out Cabo Wabo!
The Shrimp Factory is cool too!
dangerous? hardly.. it’s pretty safe out there.. enjoy yourself! lots of activities as well
went i went there.. i enjoyed the beach.. went atv riding.. jetskiing.. ate good food.. drank at el squid roe.. etc..
