Which Cabo San Lucas Beach Is the Best to Swim at in Early September?
My girlfriend and I are considering a trip to Cabo from 09/05 – 09/13, but have heard that this is high jellyfish season; is this accurate? We are considering staying at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas which is located on Medano Beach. All I want to do on my vacation is swim. I do not mind waves as I love to body surf and am a good swimmer. My preference would be a beach where I can body surf the waves all day…is this possible on Medano Beach in early September? Any suggestions for snorkeling as well?

in the september the water is cold and not fear of death
Hola. You are right. We have jellyfish in the summer. Most are not stingers, and therefore it is safe to swim with them. You can body surf at any of the beaches because we are on the pacific and as you know that powerful ocean provides good surf everywhere. Because we have alot of storms around june to october, the beaches are often on a steep incline which allows for great surfing, but it also gives a large undertow, rouge waves and rip tides, so be careful. Everything goes back to smooth and flat by the time the summer rolls around but then we get storms again. Medano is pretty good, but if you really want to experience some good waves, go to Zippers beach in San Jose del Cabo. (about 20 minutes from Cabo) Snorkelling best is at Chileno or Santa Maria bays. There are tons of tour companies that will take you there either by water/boat or by shuttle/road.
